The original house was constructed with a central staircase connecting multiple split-levels. The central staircase acts like a beating heart, circulating blood through the human veins to the human body every second. The centre core of the building is retained not only to celebrate the importance of the structure, but also the distinctive identity of the house.
A practical sculpture that serves as the staircase’s light source and handrail completes the staircase’s central core. It blossoms like a flower near the sculpture’s summit where nets were used to join a viewing platform.

There is a four-story high inner courtyard just next to the stairway. A rock-climbing wall was particularly requested in the design brief by the Owner, who is a rock-climbing enthusiast. The rock-climbing panel is incorporated into the four-story inner courtyard wall for him to clear his mind whenever he wants to.
With the sculpture like staircase, nature skylight, rock-climbing panel and foliage, the internal space has fostered a brand-new experience within the house.
